version 9 can't caputure "failed to build a capture gra

I just downloaded the trial version to use with my sony IP5 micromv. I was going to buy this software becuase I am told it is the best for mmv format. I can capture just fine into the movieshaker software from Sony, but in Video Studio 9, when I go to capture as soon as I select "capture Video" I get the error "failed to build a capture graph" I then click ok and the error message disappears and I can control the camcorder, reverse, forward, etc, but it won't capture it or show the video. I just get the error. If can get this fixed I WILL BUY this software.

Under "device control" I select Micromv device control, there are no other options selectable

Under, capture plugin, I choose, micromv mpeg capture plugin.

I have tried it on two different computers, both of them going through firewire and both of them getting the same error. Do some programs offer conflicts? I have disabled all resources and still get the same error.

I installed ulead video studio 7, an older version from a friend, and it captured just fine without a problem. I find that very wierd. Does anyone know what a capture graph is and how I can get this to work, so I can buy this program?

Which capture plugin do you use on what hardware/software mix? Maybe the other capture software you mention has preset a capture plugin that is not compatible with VS. More info please.

There've been posts from other users with MicroMV cameras about this, and I don't think anyone has ever been able to capture successfully with UVS 9. The same users could capture fine with UVS 8. I hope Ulead addresses this soon, I don't understand how that could have been overlooked.
