Create contact sheet in PaintShop Pro X7?
Is it possible to create a contact sheet based on multiple images in PaintShop Pro X7? Is it possible to do this while retaining the sources' alpha channels?

If you only want a selection of images shown on the Organizer palette to be printed on a contact sheet, make a custom tray and drag the images to it. Then you can start the Print contact sheet from that tray (the second button on the Organizer palette).
I don't know about alpha-channels though, you'll have to print to see.
Edit: I use X4, but I don't think much of that part could have changed. However, Corel is Corel so you never know. This could give you something to do until the X7 users come online

There's still no way to create a contact sheet in X7, except the way Forriner said.posfan12 wrote:Is it possible to create a contact sheet based on multiple images in PaintShop Pro X7? Is it possible to do this while retaining the sources' alpha channels?
If you really need to create a contact sheet but don't want all the work necessary to do it in PSP you can do what I do. I use the freeware image viewer IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/. In the thumbnail viewer you can create contact sheets of all or selected images in a folder. A lot easier than doing it in PSP.

Maybe a look at QImage will give you a way around.

I don't need to print the image. I want to create a sprite sheet for a 2D video game. I tried Irfanview and XnView a long time ago and IIRC they don't preserve alpha channels. I'm stuck with using ImageMagick.fred8615 wrote:There's still no way to create a contact sheet in X7, except the way Forriner said.posfan12 wrote:Is it possible to create a contact sheet based on multiple images in PaintShop Pro X7? Re: Create contact sheet in PaintShop Pro X7?
I use psp for gaming content all the time. It's all I use psp for.
psd, targa, pspimage, retain alpha. psd is the format I use the most because Photoshop wont open pspimage format. If it would I'd use that.
Editing Alpha is not possible in psp. I've had psp8. That's the oldest I've had and that had no alpha control. I've read you can by using Mask but I found that to be crap.
For painting and textures work I use 98% pspX6 ATM. Plus a Photoshop for the 2% and edit Alpha Channel. I create the Alpha textures in pspX6 and use it to edit those layers. Save as psd, Retains both Layers and Alpha. Open in Photoshop and edit alpha channel using the alpha layers I've created. Save to DDS. Usually. Targa is used some times in the programs (Games) I work with. A lot use Targa and let the Game engine converts then to DDS 8.8.8.8 QWVU 32 bpp | signed Because 3D Models in Game engines need Mip Maps.
So I need and use both. I'd suggest you will to.
PS. I wont recommend X7. It's faulty. X6 is your best bet ATM.

Either Targa or psd have Alpha retain. When creating textures that need Alpha I add it in Photoshop.posfan12; I would assume you yourself know all this so it's not necessary for you to make comment.
I've added this info not for you but so others reading this have at least a little understanding.
