View channels and delete alpha channel in PSP X7?
In PaintShop Pro X7, how do I view the RGBA channels, and specifically delete the alpha channel? I can't seem to find the dialog. Thanks.

You don't.
You can divide the image into Red, Green and Blue but not the Alpha. Alpha doesn't show in the image properties either. Only RGB, That's provided RGB is till recognized in properties. X7 has done away with RGB all together and uses HTML only.

You can save the image as a jpg file and it will lose the Alpha channel and any selections saved there. Also as a png.
Saving as a tif keeps the alpha channel though I had mixed result there, but that will be a new post.

Flattening an image is not the same as deleting the alpha channel without altering the other three channels.hartpaul wrote:You can save the image as a jpg file and it will lose the Alpha channel and any selections saved there. Also as a png.

Well, I was thinking of buying the software for video game graphics, but I need to have more control over the alpha channel.
BTW, waaaaaaaay back in PSP 3 and 4 you actually had this level of control. I tried installing them but they don't work on 64-bit operating systems, LOL.
