Hi all.
Can somebody tells me if Corel Aftershot read camera settings when it opens an image?the reason I ask this because beside using ASP I use aswell ACDSEE pro 8,and when I open an image in ACDSEE it's dark and the histogram shows a steep peek in the shadow area, while open the same image in ASP that's not the case that's why I ask this, can someone help with this?
thanks in advance.

Re: reading camera's settings
What camera settings on what files?
For rendered files (JPGs, TIFFs) AS uses the color profile to render the image.
For RAW files, AS uses the white balance to generate an image from the raw data and then renders it.
So it looks like ACDSEE has a problem....
cheers

Re: reading camera's settings
So if the ACDSEE files are pretty dark but the AS files look fine, ACDSEE has a problem interpreting the files.

Re: reading camera's settings
Hi AFX.
I think aswell I did have that problem for a while but did not worry until I open AS again and I was looking at the images that still was on my camera I saw the differeces, and all the images I'm talking about are the same images nothing else.
thanks again.

Re: reading camera's settings
If you are shooting with, say a Nikon, then the in camera settings are imbedded into the NEF's and those settings can only be seen/read by Nikon converters such as NX-D.
