Hi *,
I came across a problem in Screencap X6 ("an error occured on audio device") for which I found in another thread as possible solution a reinstall of VideoStudio X6
however I have a lot of materials loaded and categorized into VS from previous projects, that I would like to keep intact and available.
Therefore I'd like to know how can I 'export' those or if they will be available after uninstall/reinstall
Thanks anybody for helping here
reinstallation of software and existing folders w/ media

If you go to "Settings >> Library Manager >> Export Library" you will be able to export your library - then after re-install you can use the Import Library option to bring them back - BUT - you do realise that what you see in VideoStudio is not your actual media files don't you - all those thumbnails are just links to the actual files which are somewhere on your hard drive.
Do you know exactly where those files are on your computer - if you have any in a folder at C:\Users\*user*\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\17.0 then I would rename the folder to 17.0old just to be sure - but anywhere else on your computer they *should* be safe - never hurts to have a back-up though

Re: reinstallation of software and existing folders w/ media
Thanks for helping
I found that in the uninstaller there is an option to explicitly remove all of the content. It was sufficient to leave the option unticked and the libraries were still there
and now the screen capture works as well
thanks
