I've noticed the default setting for audio is 100%. Is there some way to change this default?
When the finished project is burned to disk and played back the bass is exaggerated and a bit annoying. It would be convenient to change the default setting. Other posters have mentioned that they don't see any significant change in volume levels until they get around 10%. I've noticed this as well.
Other similar video programs I've used seemed to have the same problem... they set the audio too high to begin with.

Re: audio levels in videostudio
It seems like the 100% figure is a baseline. What ever volume your camera put out, VS sets that as captured at 100%. As you edit, you can change that level up or down. Check your video for distortion by listening to it outside of VS.
