Can anyone tell me if the trial version of Paint Shop Pro X7 is fully functional and if I would also be able to save my project?
I've been away from Paint Shop Pro for a while because I busted the laptop it is on. I don't recall which version but I bought it in 2012 and since I'm not able to access anything on the laptop, I don't have my registration number or anything else that might help me download the program again. I wonder if anyone can direct to get help with that?
Right now though, I have a project to be done and really need PPS and would like to download a trial version for the time being. But, I don't know if I would have full use of the application and would also be able to save and use my projects. Some companies only give you limited use in their trial versions or if their trial is fully functional, they won't let you save your work. It won't do me any good to download the trial if I am limited in any way.
Thanks so much to whoever is able to help me out.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X7 Trial Question
As far as I am aware, the trial version is fully functional and you can certainly save any project you might make.
As for your serial number of the old version, did you register it on the Corel.com website? If so, you should be able to go to that website, sign in to your account, and then choose 'Registered Products'. That will list all your registered Corel products, including their serial numbers. If you bought PSP in 2012, it is likely to have been version X5.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X7 Trial Question
Ken Berry, I really appreciate your prompt reply, and thank you for the information. My problem is my registration and serial numbers on that laptop, which I am not able to access. Perhaps I could find it under my email address because I also don't recall my login information. I'm either screwed, or it will somehow work out. Can you tell me where to find that part of the website? What portal do I enter?

Re: Paint Shop Pro X7 Trial Question
you do not need any information from your old laptop
Go to Corels website at www.corel.com
on the home page up in the top right corner notice a small 'sign in' in blue - click on it.
on the next page enter your e-mail address and then click on ' Forgot Password' and go through the procedure to get a new password and then sign in.
then follow the procedure given in this topic :- http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=53001&
to retrieve your serial number and a new download of your previous version

Re: Paint Shop Pro X7 Trial Question
BrianCee and Ken Berry, thank you both most abundantly. I was able to locate my information and download my previous version. It was version X4 by the way. I think I purchased it a week or two before X5 was released.
You gentlemen are wonderful. I really appreciate all your assistance.

Now make sure you make a couple of backups and keep at least one off computer, eg external hard drive and a flash drive. Protect your valuable program downloads as if they were jewels.
