Edit out date on video frames

Post by carl365 »

On some of my videos I had the camera to show the date in the movies. Is there a way to edit out the date in VS?
Thanks!

Not if you had it on when actually filming - it is embedded in the video and cannot be removed

best option is to put a "fuzzy" mask over it so that it at least blends in more with the image - the sort of thing often used to hide peoples faces on TV etc.

Thanks Brian, got it, fuzzy mask. I'll work on that today. Yes, unfortunately, at the time I thought having the date embedded would be good as a record.

Found another way that works fairly well. Since all the dates are on the bottom right of the frame, (luckily) by simply cropping the frame also works.
