Dual Audio tracks on UVS 7.0 how to?

Post by chum94555 »

I recently saw a family wedding video the professional had shot. What I found interesting is there were two audio tracksin this Video which was in the DVD format

One channel had the original sound track with all the background and the conversations included and the second channel had
Audio (mainly songs) superimposed by the Videographer. You can pick track 1 or 2 based on what you want to listen to. This was accomplished by selecting the AUDIO channel on the DVD player.

How is this accomplished? I use ULEAD's VIDEO STUDIO 7.0 which has TWO AUDIO tracks and when I tried the same (left original sound on track 1 and added songs to the audio track 2) when I play both the channels play simultaneously
what am I doing wrong????/ or do I need special pro type software for this?
thanks

That function is not available in the disc burning module of any version of VideoStudio. VideoStudio will always take all the sound tracks in your timeline and combine them to one track when burning the DVD - I am afraid you need some different software.

You probably need to use DVD Workshop for this task. DVD Movie Factory does not have this feature as far I know.

Did you contact the videographer who made the DVD? Just a thought

Seperate soundtracks

Depending on the length of the video you can cheat.
If the video is half an hour long then create two video clips of identical video but each one having a seperate soundtrack.E.g. one with narration and the other with music.
Create a dvd with a menu and import the two video clips and give the viewr the choice of which version they want to watch.
