I use Paint Shop Pro 7X, and I want to do the following –
a) Crop a photo, then
b) Bring the cropped photo back to full size, thereby losing resolution, and then
c) Fill in the resolution so that I have the same number of pixels as the original, but with the cropped shot.
Many thanks
upping resolution

Re: upping resolution
Try: Crop as new image, then select resize and enter the same number of pixels for one of the dimensions (horizontal or vertical) as the original.

Re: upping resolution
You could simply crop. Then Resize maintaining the dpi and inserting the desired dimensions in pixels.

Re: upping resolution
I've never had success up sizing anything apart from Vector.
It blurs the image. The bigger the up size the worse it looks. Sharpen can help to a point but only once. "Sharpen more" isn't a good result I've found.
png, gif, psd, psp... Tried them all. None worked well enough.
