60FPS Recording on Corel Screen Capture

Post by ChallengerYT »

I recently purchased Corel VideoStudio X7 Ultimate. I turned on the Screen Capture and noticed 60FPS wasn't an option for recording. Is there anyway to make 60FPS possible on it because I am sure I've seen someone record with 60FPS with that program. If not, what happens when I export it to 60FPS? Is it upscaled or is it then same thing? Thanks for your time :)

I don't know of any way to change that setting -- or indeed the format, which seems fixed at .wmv... However, I would be happy to learn if anyone else has found a way.

But capturing at 30 fps and later upscaling that to 60 fps will serve little purpose. In the first place you can't make a video better by just changing the frame rate. But more importantly, upscaling is done by simply repeating each frame. This could produce rather jerky output, particularly if fast action is involved in the video...

What would you recommend for me to do? I'm trying to record Minecraft where I get 150 FPS while recording so I was hoping for 60 FPS recording, but 30 FPS looks chunky. I'll take anything that looks the best. I'd like it at 1080p. Thanks again :D
