Can't find how to do this. I just want to trim a segment of a video and move that segment to another part of the same video. Something like cut and paste.
Thanks!
What is this operation called?

Its called "Cut and Paste"! You can move the cut video back into the Library and then reuse it as required.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: What is this operation called?
It is called 'editing'
use the scissors tool to make a cut each side of the segment you want to move - also make sure there is a cut at the position you want to insert it
using your mouse cursor click and hold on the segment and slide it along to the place you want it - release left mouse key
it is often easier if you drop down into an overlay track as you do that - you can see what your doing better
OR - as Terfyn has said - using the mouse left click and hold on the segment and slide it up into a library pane. delete the segment left in the video track
you can now slide that segment from the library panel into the video track (providing there is a cut/join there) as many times as you like just like any other clip in the library.

Thanks a lot guys! I wasn't aware you can drag from the timeline back into the library. This will come in especially handy with all the random short videos I have.
