Video Editing

Post by clark77095 »

I am brand new using Video Studio 7. I have uploaded a one minute segment of a video and I am trying to edit it down to 30 seconds. How is this accomplished with Video Studio7?

You can trim it. Or use the extract video.

You can also use the Scissor to cut the video at the desired point(s), select the resulting pieces, and hit the Del key to delete what you don't want. When you are done, render to a new output file in whatever format you need.

To get your new file, you will have to "Share" (right-hand tab at top). Then "Create Video File" (which is what you're doing, because up to now you've only been "editing" and not creating a thing). "Same as Project Properties." Then wait for that to be done. When it is, the new file will be shorter than the original one. But the original one will be there unchanged. You can go back and edit it in a different way, and Create a whole new video file.

Do this and then ask more questions.
