Re: Slideshow Image Question
Hi carl
A HD video uses a frame size of 1920 x 1080, so your images should be the same or larger.
Certainly if you are zooming into the frame than larger would help retaining quality.
If you wish to fill the video frame then your images should use 16:9 aspect ratio.
Unfortunately cameras tend to default to 2 x 3 ratio. They will have a black border.
It is not essential to fill the screen and using the overlay tracks to insert smaller images can be quite creative.
Have a look at some of the Instant Projects to see how they are edited, maybe give you some ideas as to creating your own slide shows.

Re: Slideshow Image Question
Thanks Trevor!
I want to say the Corel tutorials are just excellent. I looked a number of video editors before choosing Corel. A lot of my decision was because of the video tutorials. A frustration with others was the poorly done videos mostly with the person making them. The enunciation was terrible on most making it difficult on the hard hearing like me.

Re: Slideshow Image Question
Hi Carl
Quick Slide Show
Go to Preferences F6 – Edit Tab
1 / Here you can set the default durations of your Photo Duration, try 9 seconds
2 / Then set the Transition Effects duration to say 3 seconds
3 / Choose Automatic add transition effect.
4 / Choose a Default Transition – try FX Cross Fade
5 / Ok to close the panel
As a test add a few images to the top track, play to test timings, adjust above settings to your liking and repeat
Instant Projects
Add an effect to the beginning of the project to create an introduction
These use Placeholders, replace those with your own images.
How…..
Right click an image on the timelines and “Replace Clip” – Photo.
Or drag an image from the library – hold Ctrl key and drop image over Placeholder.
Replace any Text with your own.

Re: Slideshow Image Question
Thanks Trevor, those settings are very close to begin with and that crossfade is just the one I wanted.
