Capture Editing and Apply Editing
I cannot seem to get Capture and/or Apply Editing to work correctly. It seems like it is capturing edits from too many edits! The only way I can seem to get it to work right is to close PSP X7 and re-open it, then things work right...am I doing something wrong?

Re: Capture Editing and Apply Editing
I've no idea what you are doing. Please be more specific in asking questions - what mode are you in, what steps did you take, what did you observe.
I tried it out.
- edited a photo and save it
- in Manage mode, selected a photo that has been edited. Edited photos have an icon in the thumbnail
- click on capture, which is "highlighted". At this point nothing changes, it appears not to work.
- select a different photo or a number of photos. At this point the Apply Editing icon is highlighted.
- click on the Apply Editing. After a pause a window opens showing progress of the edit. After a few seconds the progress shows up and the editing is applied to the photo(s).
Capture and Apply editing works only within a session. Once you close PSP the history of what has been done is cleared. There is nothing to capture until a file has been edited and saved.
Be careful - you can't undo this application, as far as I can tell.

Re: Capture Editing and Apply Editing
As well this is like using a quickscript in the Edit mode which can be saved and used in later sessions. Take the time to move to and use Edit mode and you will find that many of those actions in Manage and Adjust are more versatile in Edit.

Re: Capture Editing and Apply Editing
I was wrong about the original from "Apply Editing" being lost - if you have Auto Preserve turned on, the original will be saved in the Corel Auto-Preserve sub-folder.
Capture Editing and Apply certainly has its uses without going through developing a script and doing a batch process. I shot a large number of photos using a tripod of woodpeckers in a nest. I wanted to use a number of them in an essay and wanted the same crop for all so there would be movement perceived only of the birds. I edited one photo, used capture editing, selected all the others I wanted to edit and clicked on apply editing. It's a feature I use seldom but good to know it's there for when it makes sense to use.
