The out-of-cam JPEGs are still better.

Noise reduction is very poor. Wavelet Denoise Plugin is currently the only usable one, acceptable at ISO1600, but not at ISO6400 - at least when comparing to the out-of-cam JPEGs.

Comparing processing of 8-mpixel Canon images with Bibble 5 and ASP1, ASP2 is very very slow on 16-mpixel Fuji images.
Reason might be the double amount of pixels and x-trans-pattern, nonetheless it is disappointing.

I can't get Wavelet denoise working, so it's probably not compatible with 64bit OS. But I did get a quite good result with Perfectly Clear noise reduction.

Hmm ..
Are you using the 64bit version from this post http://forum.corel.com/EN/posting.php?m ... 6&p=297526
It appears to be working for me on 2.1.2.10 64bit Mint 17.1

Running the latest ASP 2.1.2.10 and I have to say the results are much better than the previous betas and finals that I tested.
Well done to the teams at Corel.
We are making progress with Aftershot Pro again so that means that I have a useable product that I can use to make final output for my clients.

Some of the plugin developers have unfortunately not provided updated versions but I can work around that.
Still learning after all these years!

No, I was aware of the existence of this post, so thank you for pointing it out to me. Now that I played with that plugin, I must say I get much better results using the Perfectly Clear Noise removal tool.

Glad you have it working now.
I think it produces very good sharpening.

New update works great on Ubuntu 14.04, thanks for adding Canon 7D MK II RAW!

Besides bug fixes what factor's help determine what improvements go into each revision?

I'm dreaming of some kick-*** noise reduction because I shoot at high ISO due to the low light, high shutter speed I need for sports and I miss how well Noise Ninja worked in ASP1.

Thanks ASP2 team!

Hi. It's been a while.
A problem which occurs with 645Z PEF and Win 8.1 x64 is not fixed yet. I hope it'll be fixed in next release.

I have a problem with the raw files from Canon 7D MK II.

Imported, the raw file looks in violet tone with preset WB ( from the camera). If i change the WB, for example in Sunny or shade etc, the violet tone is preserved. But if i pick the WB from a white spot from the picture, the colours are fine.

How can I get rid of this mess?
Thank you!
