Hi everyone:

As some of you have noticed already, earlier today we released the latest update to AfterShot and AfterShot Pro. Version 2.1.2 brings you enhancements to the HDR module and you'll see we’ve been hard at work making improvements to the Fuji X-Trans profiles, addressing chromatic aberration and other issues.

In the new camera profiles department, you’ll now find support for 9 additional cameras, including the Canon 7D Mk II and Powershot G1X Mk II, Fuji’s X100T, the Sony A7 Mk II, Olympus' XZ-2 and 4 models from Panasonic. You can read through the release notes here: http://www.aftershotpro.com/en/support/ ... fault.html

The update file has already begun rolling out to your desktop... or, if you’re as excited to get your hands on the latest version as I was and don’t want to wait, it’s also available for download from the Software Updates section of our website, at: http://www.AfterShotPro.com.

Thanks for letting us know, Kneops. I just tried to download the 64-bit Debian patch and the full build, but didn't have any problems... can you confirm which link you were having trouble downloading?

Installation of update is not successful. The message is that After Shot cannot be found on my computer. It is definitely installed as I use it daily. Any suggestions?

Glad to see the update come around, been anticipating the support for the Canon 7DmkII. I have tried 4 times to install the update, thought I might have clicked the wrong one the first time because when I started ASP2 it still showed 2.1.1.9, I tried clicking the check for updates from the help menu within ASP, went to the site and I know for sure I chose the right one, but still at the end of the install it still shows 2.1.1.9. Tried rebooting, and doing another install update, still didn't work. Running Win 7 64, never had any issues in updates before this one. Anyone else having any problems?
Does the 2.1.1.9 version need to be uninstalled before running this update?
thanks,,,,

I have been playing with Fuji RAF files and they look much much better now. In most cases I compared Classic Chrome jpg from the camera with the RAF version, which I only modified a little so they resembled the jpg. Mostly sharpening, levels and a little color shift. Excellent results I think.

On the left the JPG, on the right the RAF.

I got to the update site by clicking on the "there is a new version" window when I started ASP. As you see, I use the same operating system as you. Downloaded the 64 and 32 bit versions to my computer and installed from the downloaded file. The old version was not uninstalled - the new one has installed and shows the correct version in the program.

Mark, I tried again this morning, still couldn't get the 64 bit to update, downloaded the 32 bit version and it worked, I can now use my 7DmkII RAW files, ASP2 is pretty fast even on the 32 bit. I will try again Monday to see if the 64 bit version will install, ran out of time today. Appears that maybe the link for the 64 bit could be pointing to the previous version or did you update your 64 bit from that link? Very strange that the 64 bit wouldn't update for me, I even went back and uninstalled all previous versions and reinstalled the first version of ASP2 and still the 64 bit update wouldn't take, so out of curiosity I tried the 32 bit and it did. Oh well, ain't computers fun,,,, when everything works.

I have to say that HDR processing is even slower than in the previous version. E.g. when on "Step 2: HDR Adjustments" page, it takes 15-20 seconds to update the image after any change in the sliders. This took ~ 3 seconds in version 2.1.2.9 (yeah, still unacceptable).

I just tried using the HDR processor on files from a Sony A77ii. The thumbnails look fine but the photos are purple. It seems strange that ASP can handle those files but the HDR processor cannot. Has anyone else had that problem?

Can you post a link where I can download a sample RAW image so the dev team can take a look at it? Thanks.
