I am trying to create a slideshow using JPEG images with bits of video tucked in here and there. I would like some of the slideshow to have multiple images on the screen at one time. The idea being the images will appear a few seconds apart so that each may be seen entering the screen; be it sliding in from the side, fading, etc. With a few seconds in between each image. After all images are on the screen I want them to pause before all exiting to the side, fading, or some other transition.
I am able to make the images appear on the screen using customized motion however I can not figure out how to make them pause once on the screen.
Hope someone knows how to achieve this, thank you for your help.

Re: Creating a Slideshow
This sounds like the answer to what I am trying to achieve. Can you please explain how to set the two key frames so that the motion will stop? Maybe I should also ask how to set the following key frame to start the motion again too.
Thank you so much

If two adjacent keyframes are identical, no movement will be between them.Irishrose wrote:This sounds like the answer to what I am trying to achieve. Re: Creating a Slideshow
Hi Irishrose
Right click a clip and choose Customise Motion
You can add additional keyframes to the timeline
Double click the line or use the “+” add keyframe symbol.
With a keyframe selected, right click for copy and paste options.
Choose copy—select another keyframe to paste, that duplicates the settings.
After setting the effect to the first clip we can copy and paste those settings within the timeline.
Right click a clip – Copy attributes – select another clip, (Shift + Click to select multiple clips) Right Click again for Paste Attributes
Don’t make it to complicated, sometimes less is ………….
Open the attached VSP in X7, Playback in project mode -- explore the CM settings

Re: Creating a Slideshow
Hi Lata,
Thank you so much !
Your instructions work perfectly !
I'm looking forward to creating my first slide show with VSP. I've used other programs in the past but this will allow for a much more impressive/professional looking finished project. The slideshows are only for my family, but it's nice to be able to create something special for them.
