Some clips in project not running at correct speed

Post by bargemaster »

I am using Video Studio X7 Ultimate and currently compiling clips into film. All clips are AVCHD from the same source at 17Mbps. I notice that several of the frames at the beginning of my project when I run them in project mode don't run at the correct speed, they judder! Yet playing the clip on its own all is okay. About 5 consecutive clips act this way, all the rest are okay. I did not notice this happening in previous films I made with X7. I do not want to complete my project only to find this problem copies on to the DVD I will put it on to.

My experience is that what you see in project mode is not always what you will get. Render your project, or part of it, to mpg4 first and see what it looks like.

Hi

Project Playback may improve if you use Smart Proxy.
This creates additional files, proxy files that help improve playback.

Can you make sure Smart Proxy is enabled and that the files have been created.
Settings - Smart Proxy Manager - Enable.....

Right click a clip and choose Create Smart Proxy files, the process does take a while to render.
View Settings Smart Proxy File and Queue Managers.
