quick search

Post by Jim L »

Hi,
The "Quick search" in my X7 just stopped working. It had worked this morning but now, no matter what words I put in, it doesn't come up with any hits, even though I know there are folders containing those words; keep getting "No files found" on the screen. Looks like it lost the index but don't know how to restore. Thanks in advance!

I've never used this before and just tested it. It appears this function (like so many others) works only in Collections and not in Computer. Make sure you have Collections selected. Otherwise, if it still doesn't work try resetting, shift while starting the program. Save critical items (workspace) before resetting.

Thanks Mark, didn't know about that reset and it seems to have worked. True too about searching in Collections; doesn't seem to work under Computer.
