Convert Step Got Problems 4101

Post by dshenoy »

I am using a P4 machine/1GB Memory with 2GHz Processor (NTFS) on Windows XP SP2. I have a project that begins with a .WMV file and then contains a number of photos that play to .WMV music. I can compile my project into a format that is .WMV compatible for a small player. But when I save to disk the NTSC DVD 4:3 format I get the "cannot read audio with the error code 80004005". When I burned to disk i also get a different message stating "Convert Step Got problems 4101" I am using VideoStudio 9. I have uninstalled and re-installed the product.

What is causing this problem as everything looks clean and the files on their own do not seem to be corrupt?

The error codes suggest that one of your source files is corrupt or incompatible. Considering the description I would look at the sound files. Try removing them one at a time and see if that solves the problem. You may need to re-encode one of them.
