Videostudio X6: .mp4 won't work
So I've recorded a video with a game capture device, and it only exports it in mp4. When I try to add it to the edit section in Videostudio X6, it tells me there is no video in the file. I tried using file converters to make it an AVI file, but then it says my computer doesn't have enough memory, even though I have 700GB. If anyone can tell me a solution to this problem as soon as possible I will incredibly grateful. Thank you.

What do you want to do with the captured video?
Can you post the properties of the captured mp4 video file?
According to your specs, your computer has 12GB of memory. The 700GB you state is not memory but the free space on your hard drive.
HOw long in time is the captured video?

The video is 4 minutes and 9 seconds, and all I want to do with it is add a title card, cut a few bits out and transitions. I tried converting to an mpeg file and that worked, but obviously if I want to do some longer videos it's not going to be very convenient using an online converter each time.

Hi
I know there have been other posts with users having problems with screen captured video, especially with the free software?
I don’t know if it’s the codec’s that caused their problems.
Are you able to make the sample available for download, maybe using Windows One Drive, at least some will download to try on our computers.

So what are the video file properties? What capture device are you using?Masterofhoenn wrote:The video is 4 minutes and 9 seconds, and all I want to do with it is add a title card, cut a few bits out and transitions. Sorry, I've no idea what exactly you mean when you say file properties. I used an Elgato HD60 to record footage from my xbox one. As for One Drive, I've never actually used it before so I'm not sure how to
