Re: automatic detection
Are you talking about being able to speak titles into Video Studio rather than type them?

Re: automatic detection
Hi
No you do not speak into the mic'
Are you referring to STR files??
These can be added to the timeline from the “T” titles edit panel
Click the “T” symbol to open the titles library, select the Options (Far Right) to open that panel.
Choose Open Subtitle file, browse for your srt file.
All text boxes associated with that file will display in the timeline.
Using The SubTitle Editor
This is associated with specific audio / video clips, to open the editor we have to select a clip.
The length of that clip determines the total duration of the srt file and subsequently how many title/text boxes.
Once you have opened the Editor we could import a SRT file but will only display the titles upto the duration of the associated video clip.
Lets assume the SRT runs for 2 hrs 30 minutes associated with a movie.
The clip in the timeline has to be 2 hrs 30 minutes to use the Sub Title Editor.
You should use the same clip used to create the SRT.

Re: automatic detection
Hi
Ultimately you wish to match the text boxes to a video and that is best done in the timelines.
The SRT should match the video it was made for, all text boxes should be in position having the correct duration.
I don’t really know what problems you are having?
The SRT file is a TXT file……If you wish to manually change the timecodes then you can open the SRT using NotePad, all timecodes and text will be editable.

Re: automatic detection
Hi
You are syncing the video’s voices with title clips, if the duration is wrong then you are best editing the clips in the edit timelines.
Are all title clips using the wrong durations, or is it just a few.
If you used Video Studio to create the srt file then the titles would be correct, but that means typing in all words again.

Re: automatic detection
Hi
Either move all title clips along the timeline to the correct position, Shift Click first and last will select all.
Or
Move the video along the timeline, maybe add a colour clip at the beginning will allow you to set its duration/ length, nudging the video.
