Re: change subtitle duration
The duration of each sub-title depends on how much text is in it - I didn't think there is a default length for a sub-title - but once you have created a sub-title you can change it's duration as follows
In the subtitle editor click on the time of start or time of end of the sub-title - which ever number you click on will start flashing - at the same time two little arrows will appear to the right of the flashing number - click the up arrow to increase the number - when you have the right length set click OK at the bottom of the editor

Re: change subtitle duration
Hi
Each sub title text length should be the same as the words being spoken, that’s how it works, so why do you need to change the duration?
Or are you trying to move the locations of the text boxes along the timeline.

Re: change subtitle duration
Hi
SubTitle Editor
First are you creating your own SRT file or downloaded a SRT from the internet?
Place a video clip in the timeline ….
1 / How long is your video clip
2 / How many titles will you expect to make.
3 / select the subtitle editor starts a scan, this scans for audio changes within the video file, most of the audio changes will be voices, that’s the ones you are interested in.
4 / a list of text locations will populate the right panel, the durations of these should be correct
5 / for each of these you add the appropriate text. (Click Add a new subtitle to insert text)
6 / once complete I would suggest saving the SubTitle (Export Sub Title File)
7 / Pressing OK returns to the timeline, opening all completed text boxes.
Are the text boxes in line with the appropriate voice?
