I am using VideoStudio Pro X7. I am working with a 4K video I took. I have gone through all the setup videos for 4K but.... During editing and when rendering the audio track is out of sync with the video. The audio plays fine but the video drags.
Can someone tell me how to make the audio sync with video? This is very disturbing since the video is a singer playing guitar and singing. This occurs whether I have the audio track in the video track or if I separate them. This did not happen on the videos I created using a lower res video. This is a green screen video so I have 2 video sources and 1 audio source.
I have tried low res settings, high res settings. Seems I have tried almost all the combinations I can think of and cannot make this work.
Help!

Re: Slow 4K Video
First off I have to confess I have never even played around with the 4K settings. But what I do know is that you need a pretty powerful computer to edit it properly, plus of course 4K capable equipment to play it back at full 4K resolution.
Unfortunately, we know nothing about your computer except that it runs Win 8.1 64 bit and has a 3 TB hard drive, with lots of "generic" components. So I simply don't know if it is capable of editing 4K smoothly or not.
However, one thing you might want to try is to first read the X7 Manual about SmartProxy, and then try it out. Essentially, SmartProxy creates a low res copy of the 4K original, in a format which is easily editable. You do your edits, and when satisfied, the edits are applied to the 4K originals.

Re: Slow 4K Video
I updated my profile to show the computer specs. The computer is a HP workstation class machine with high end graphics and lots of memory. I can view the original video full screen in Windows Media Player with full clarity.
I have tried quite a few settings using the Smart Proxy to no avail. I tried rendering at 720x480 all the way through 4096x2160 with the same results. The video renders the same it looks when editing.
The video was shot on a Sony 4K camera. This camera shoots in dual mode, lower res and 4K. The lower video runs great in VideoStudio but the 4K video is sluggish and does not render correctly. Unfortunately I had the video camera set to just record at 4K.
In VideoStudio I had to move the start point of the audio to match the start point of the video. However as the video progresses you will notice the lips begin to mismatch again later in the video. So it appears on the 4K video the audio track within the recording is not the same length as the video track! Not sure how that happens?
View the results online using the link below. Notice at the end of the video the lips don't match the song! Again, everything matches when viewing the original in Media Player, but does not match when viewed/rendered in VideoStudio!

Re: Slow 4K Video
Hi
Can you try rendering the clips but disable Smart Render, sometimes Smart Render can cause audio sync issues, just a thought.
Post updated
Also make sure your project properties match the video files properties.
From preferences (F6) tick Show Messages when ….
Start a new project and insert one of your files, should show a message asking that you match the properties.
Otherwise set the project properties manually……
