Just un-install it and go back to original install.
Personally I've only just seen this update because I'm using X6. Did buy X7 but it's a peace of crap in so many ways. Oh wait! shouldn't that be the other way around?
I think I'll continue to use X6 but I will see what this pack has done.
Not holding my breath though.
I'll be using X1 still if it didn't crash all the time. Much of the UI off that version is far better and easier to use. No bloat ware either.
Funny thing to note; While PSP is looking and working more like PSD, PSD have started going to the way PSP was in V X1, X2. Not in the tools. In the UI. Bridge is still there but the organizer idea that X1 has is now a feature in CS6. Quick and simple to navigate through your project folders, Have a cascade of your picture or just one line like X6 & X7 have now.
Just thought I'd note that one small thing. Cause that's not the end of it by any means.
X7? only good thing about it was the way you can Flip, Mirror, either from one side to the other or just on the spot depending on the one you choose. Great new feature. Shame other areas that are clearly better in earlier versions have for some reason been made crap to use. Slow, glitchy. Work some time and not others. Pen tool that I use contently in X7 is the worst! Fails to pick up on points, Constantly get's half pixel out on line.
The list is to long!
My prayers are with X8 but if the transition from X1 to X7 are anything to go by, It's not looking good guy's.
Better tools are great when the work right but the newer the UI the worse it gets. AND what's with the NO! RGB color code in X7 ???? A simple thing to understand and use but you decide this MT... what ever is the Only way to go! Who said?? Wasn't me, the end user!
Ok, I could go on if I let myself. Each new version is more disappointing. It's NOT Photoshop. That's why we users use it. Stop following after it.
Good day chaps.

Can I suggest we keep all further discussion regarding the loss of EXIF data from TIFF files with X7 SP1 to the topic "X7 SP 1 BUG Exif"?
I am sure that Alex Brazeau and others at Corel will appreciate the seriousness of this bug that has appeared 'out of the blue' with no reported changes by Corel.

Re: The Road to PaintShop Pro X7.1
Can i safely presume that there is no fix for the Chroma Sub Sampling issue in the jpeg save settings?
Re: The Road to PaintShop Pro X7.1
My X7 updated the 14th. Since then it constantly crashes. It doesn't seem to be any one specific thing. Today it was saving the temp file and crashed. Yesterday I was moving something and it crashed. It crashes several times each day. The edges of my toolbars go away after using the program for a few minutes. Would anyone know how to remove this service pack without uninstalling the whole program and starting over??
Thanks.
Thanks.

There is no way to 'remove' the SP apart from uninstalling and reinstalling X7.sallymae wrote:Would anyone know how to remove this service pack without uninstalling the whole program and starting over??

When you uninstall, you can choose to retain your user data.
Sorry to hear about the crashes

Re: The Road to PaintShop Pro X7.1
This sounds more like your system is balking at PSP. If it was a PSP problem, everyone would be having it.
There must be something causing it to crash.
If you uninstall/reinstall you may encounter the same problems. I would suggest fully uninstall then do a registry clean. C Cleaner is the best.
Reboot your PC then try again. Do you have lots of programmes running in the background? If so, this could be an issue.
Also check if your video / graphics card drivers are up todate, along with others. Good luck!

Re: The Road to PaintShop Pro X7.1
Looks good, thanks!
A few ideas for future updates:
- An option to report a bug directly from the PSP. The program currently supports this for documentation errors, would be nice to see it extended for other issues.
- A keyboard shortcut to toggle hiding all toolbars and palettes, similar to how Tab does Show/Hide all panels in Photohop. The main difference with Full-screen Preview is that the the current tool remains usable
- Print Layout enhancement: Automaticaly lay out a sheet of passport pictures, ensuring the correct size is printed.
- An option to add a practically-invisible watermark into the image area of JPEG files

Re: The Road to PaintShop Pro X7.1
This update has issues with brush control. The push brush for example no longer responds to settings. It leaves hard edges even when set to lowest settings. Is there a fix for this issue?

Another issue...the text will not resize any longer...tried to fit txt to a space and the software doesn't respond.
Is there a fix coming for this?
