I'm trying to add continuously scrolling text (like credits at the end of a movie) that span multiple video clips and may be 100 lines long, and which I would like formatted with 2 or 3 spaces between each lines, etc. But since at least 2 or 3 text lines will be visible at a time, it needs to be a continuous title file, i.e., I cannot split it up into multiple title clips on the title track (or not easily anyway, although I'm sure there is a way with transitions though it would be cumbersome).
I could only find one scrolling title (the 5th one in the top row--rather absurdly, the title effects are not named so there is no way to refer to them nor any hint as to what they do other than seeing the visual animation), but there are two problems with this for what I want to do: (1) There is no apparent way to format different lines differently, e.g., "Directed by (bold, larger font) / Alfred Hitchcock (italics, smaller font)" and (2) while it lets me enter as many lines as I want and they all do appear in the preview, I can't really see what I am typing after the 5th or so line of text.
Is there a better way? Seems that this would be a fairly standard procedure, so I'm hoping there is ... Thanks!

Re: Adding scrolling credits
A title can be as long as you want. Just drag the right end of it to the proper length to achieve your visual need.
Styling a 100 lines text is different story, I only can suggest cutting it into 4X25 lines segments. If you maintain about same length of the 4 they will scroll in same speed. You can select any word and apply different font/color.

Re: Adding scrolling credits
You may be better off creating your scrolling title from scratch rather that relying on the supplied ones as they often have effects and restrictions built in that prevent you doing what you want to
have a look at my video here :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CKsSM4CHT4 which demonstrates how to do a scrolling text title from scratch.
You can if you wish do all the typing in Word (or other text programme) then copy it into VideoStudio using "Ctrl+V" to paste it into the "Double click here to add a title window" (after you have double clicked) - UNFORTUNATELY - Any formatting in Word will not be copied so you will still have to work down the lines formatting each one.
Using that method I can format each and every line exactly as I want including font type, colour, size, spacing - see attachment

Re: Adding scrolling credits
As this is going to be a long list, maybe it will be wise to do one over the other. one will have the names, and one on top having the titles with different font. You can spread the lines by this parameter

Re: Adding scrolling credits
I just finished a project and used the scrolling template. My list only had 40 lines but should work with 100. I first typed up the list in Notepad because I don't have Office on my Video computer. Then, in x7 opened the title template and did a copy and paste. My lines in Notepad were maintained though I had to mess with spacing and font size. From there you can go down your title and change font and color as needed. I learned from other software to always copy and paste a long bit of text. Much quicker.

Hi
I assume the text fits across the screen and you have a lot of lines.
Float the mouse over the text box border till you see a hand, drag up or down.
Or,
using the keyboard arrow keys will move the box up- down allowing you to view the text.

Re: Adding scrolling credits
Paste in a few lines at a time (not more than what you can see). It may still scroll off the bottom of the screen. However, in the "Alignment" box, then click Bottom Center or Bottom Left, which will refresh the alignment to display the bottom few lines. When you are done, you can change the Alignment back to what you want.
Of course this assume that you truly need to edit each line separately, otherwise Windows navigation shortcuts like Ctrl-A, Ctrl-Shift-End, etc., work to select all the text in the text box, including what's not visible on the screen.
