AMD FX6300 and Videostudio X6 and X7

Post by tommy12 »

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have any experience with using Videostudio with an AMD FX6300? I was wondering if it would use all the cores and how "snappy" Videostudio would be with 1080p and 720p video, 30 fps and 60 fps, just using the onboard graphics. I know it wouldn't be a high end system but would it be able to do things like scrolling through the timeline and preview clips, especially 1080p 30fps MOV files, without stuttering?

Thanks for any input!

Hi Tommy

Sounds like you need to use Smart Proxy files.

Go to settings Smart Proxy Manager – Enable.

For clips already in the timeline, right click all clips (Shift + click) choose Create proxy files

New files added to the timeline should create automatically.

They may take some time to create – be patient.
