Several points on this issue.
1. The installed icon and application header (on the window) is AfterShot 2, but help about shows AfterShotPro 2
2. When attempting to do a yum upgrade, yum reports that the version (2.0.0) already is installed, despite the listing on the Corel AfterShot upgrade web site showning higher revision levels.
3. To install, one must yum erase the installed AfterShot Pro2, and then install the new RPM
4. To install the current upgrade to the last full release (e.g., to install the 2.1.1.9 update that is not a full replacement), I needed to rpm --install --force . After rpm finished, AfterShot showed 2.1.1.9
5. Despite the fact that I have a current AfterShot Pro 2 license key, after each full install, the application demands I again enter the key. Is this due to the need to yum erase to install?

Re: linux RPM upgrade
The missing version info in RPMs is a known issue.
No idea why this triviality is not fixed yet.

Your license key is user specific, so this should not be related. It is stored in some Qt info in your home directory (I keep forgetting the exact location, should not be hard to find).ykarant wrote:5. You can just ignore it...To register for this forum, although I specified Linux, the registration form demanded all sorts of information only relevant to MS Windows.

They have no linux knowledge.
They are not even able to release a proper .rpm package.
And we are paying money for this mess :(
This is because they made a huge mess about naming, changing config files between updates, and breaking already working things blindly.ykarant wrote: 5. Again: Corel is a windows only company.ykarant wrote: To register for this forum, although I specified Linux, the registration form demanded all sorts of information only relevant to MS Windows.
This "linux port" is just a (nearly dead) side effect of buying Bibble.
PS:
But I would be really happy if anyone from Corel can make me wrong about these statements.

In my Fedora 21 installation, I had to remove the old version before installing the new one but I didn't have to re-activate the license. I didn't lose any of my settings/plugins etc. either:
sudo yum remove AfterShotPro
sudo yum localinstall AfterShotPro2_64.rpm
ASP2 works really well in my linux desktop at this point. I like the UI touchups in general. The only glitch I am noticing is probably specific to F21 - you can't resize the main window (it can either maximized or minimized, but not as a resizeable window).
