PSP 17 & Plugins problems

Post by MarjV »

My pc is Win7, 32bit ; also downloaded the 32 bit PSP 17 from disk.

I keep having a problem with the program freezing and closing or else I get "Memory access violaton!" when I attempt to use various plugins, i.e. Medhi or Simple.
And this is , for example, when I only have one image open.

It is a known issue that certain older plug-ins cause the error message you described. Corel is very much aware of this. They may or may not resolve it with a service pack.

One workaround is to use Filters Unlimited for those plugins that are compatible.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Thanks, Kathy ---

I was surprising to me that the plugins won't cooperate. Thankfully at least FU does so far so I'll attempt to put more in there.

I will stay with doing my PaintShopPro graphics with 13 and 16 I think. Glad I didn't spend a ton of $$$ on 17.
Glad Corel is aware of it.
