Panasonic FZ1000

Post by BobRann »

Does anyone know when or if After Shot Pro 2 will support the Panasonic FZ1000. I have the older After Shot Pro and I would like to upgrade to the latest version so I can use it with the FZ1000. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried ASP version you have to see if it will recognize the RAW images from the FZ1000? Consistency in Panasonic's RAW format sometimes carries through from several generations of cameras. Nevertheless you should be able to view, manage, and edit your jpegs in ASP.
I don't see the FZ1000 on ASP 2 list of supported cameras at this link-http://www.aftershotpro.com/en/products ... pro/#tab=5
Again, you could download the trial version and see.
Who knows when and if Corel will add this camera . If you can't work with your images in existing versions of ASP there are two free alternatives. I don't like it much, but the free version of Silkypix that you can download from Panasonic will work. Also, the latest version of Raw Therapee will support your camera- I like it better than Silkypix-http://rawtherapee.com/blog/rawtherapee-4.2-is-out

Thank you for replying rondo. The version of ASP I have does not the RAW images from the Panasonic FZ1000. I recently downloaded Raw Therapee. It seems like a pretty good Raw processor. What I like about ASP is that it does a great job with skin tones. I find it more difficult to get good skintones in Raw Therapee. Maybr if I work with it enough I'll get the hang of it. ASP is just so easy. Thanks again.
