Quick question regarding adding title

Post by EmsAk620 »

I see that all the titles' backdrops are black.
So what if I wanna turn off the title/overylay track to edit a title track that's written in black???

Thanks!

The title overlays are transparent - not black. You edit the title track in the normal way.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

I know that...
But my question is how am I supposed to successfully edit it if I shut off the background image?(Because it will be black against black that way)
How do you make the default editing background(for the title only) to be white, or just something other than black??

THank you!

Settings > Preferences > General, and down towards the bottom (Preview Window) change the black box beside 'Background Color' to whatever colour you prefer...

And actually what I'm trying to accomplish is to edit images and texts separately(with the latter on a different track),
but this default black backdrop is making it damn near impossible.

Anybody got any suggestion at all?

I hope I won't have to resort to using a different software since I'm already using THE. VIDEOSTUDIO.

Thanks!

Does changing the background colour as I suggested above not give you what you want???

I'm not sure why need to turn off the image. If it's hard to read to edit, it might also be hard to read in the finished video. Also, you can make the preview bigger, I believe. And, as has been suggested, turn off the image, add a white background on another track and under your title. Edit the title and then delete the white slide.
