Hi

That seems a legitimate Corel purchase.

Can you download again just in case you have a corrupt download, although if that were the case it probably wouldn’t install.

Were they any other files to download, Extra Content?? Other than the New Blue files.

You have purchased the Pro version but that should include Bluray burning.

Can you also check to see if Smart Sound files have been installed. Auto Music icon below the Preview Screen.
Auto Music not Sound Mixer.

If they are also missing then I would contact Corel support, this forum is staffed by volunteers simply trying to help.

OK - Cleverbridge are the people who handle Corels online sales.

but what is worrying is that you should not have been able to install an upgrade version unless you have X5 or X6 on your computer - and your download file size is not big enough - as Trevor has said the full programme download is over 2GB

Strangely your file name seems correct - just not big enough

I am at a loss to understand what you have purchased - it makes no sense to me at all

Thanks again guys - here's what I bought. Sounds like I should have bought the full version rather than the upgrade as I only had Videostudio 11 to upgrade from - will Corel let me pay the extra for the full version? Hopefully I haven't done wrong by posting this - the licence key isn't obviously in the image

Hi

The upgrade versions allow us to purchase the program at a discount provided we have the last two versions,
For upgrade to X7 you need X5 or X6 programs.
Your VS 11 does not qualify for upgrade to X7.

As you are able to install the program it begs the question whether you have the upgrade or not?

The lack of Bluray burning would not be affected by purchasing this program as far as I know the Pro and Ultimate versions support Bluray authoring.

The Ultimate version comes with additional software ProDad packages etc. installed in addition to the main program.

I would expect Bluray Authoring to be part of the program you purchased………..

Can you view the menus at the top File – Edit – Tools – Settings and Help to see if there is any reference to Bluray.

Well well, it looks like with the help of all you guys, I think it's been sorted!

I took Lata's advice and looked through my menus and there in front of me was the very clear option in the 'Help' section to 'Enable Blu-ray authorising' and I have now got the option - haven't yet used it but I'm going to assume it will work now

Still doesn't explain why my version works - although I have bought so many Videostudios in the last 10 years that I may have previously had X3 or X5???

You guys have all been great though - really appreciate your time and effort. I'm genuinely grateful

Cheers, Rob

Thank goodness for that - one for my notebook

I don't remember having to do that when I got X7 - and I don't see any option in my help section - can you just confirm wonderob - is the option still there after you enabled it - or does it vanish once you enable ?

Hi Rob

As we mentioned we are aware of Corel tweaking the installation files, I thought that was limited to the trial version.

At least we are all aware of the latest changes to X7, Thanks for the info,

Your installation file is smaller than expected, I wonder what else they have changed within the program?

Well as I'm not an experienced user, I probably won't notice any other changes. This forum looks to be a great source of information/experience/expertise, so I'm sure I will be visiting frequently

I've just purchased the full version of VideoStudio Pro X7, my trial version having expired. At the top of the order confirmation (as in wonderob's above) it tells you to uninstall the trial version. At the bottom it says: 'If you are unlocking a trial, there is no need to download the software again'. Which is true please?

To avoid all sorts of possible problems please uninstall the trial version first.

Thanks. I thought that would be the answer, but it seems a strange contradiction.

FYI: I purchased VS8 and after I installed it, I lost Blu-ray support in VS7. I have so far been unable to get it back. See http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 57#p317217
