Selecting multiple clips, transitions and titles

Post by Cwcoty »

I've created a rather long project with hundreds of clips, transitions, titles and photos. I would like to keep just the first minute or so of the project to use with other projects. I have only been able to select ALL of the items in the timeline or none. So, in other words, I would like to be able to select segments of a project to use in other projects. Is this possible?

I never seem to manage to select eveything on all tracks in the timeline - but it is very easy to select every thing in one track at a time and delete them that way.

select the first item in the track you want to delete - go to the last item in the track and hold down the Shift key while you select it (standard Windows multi-select "Shift+select") - all in the track will be selected - press the delete key on your keyboard - all in the track will be deleted

repeat the process for each of the other tracks

Use "File >> Save As" to create a new project for future use.

I would have suggested that you save the bit you want to use again as an instant project for future use - but Corel changed things between X6 and X7 and instant projects may not work when transferred between them.
