Movie Factory 4 Freezing up my Computer

Post by assetman »

Help Please...

I have tried 3 times and I keep getting the same poor result. Running a Dell Dimension 8100 with 1gig of RAM and a 60GIG HD.

I have imported a video into Movie Factory, set up the menus and click on Burn.

I never get past a total progress of 66% and then my entire system freezes up where I have to shut the computer down.

Any ideas?

go to the add/remove programs and uninstall Ulead Data-Add 2.0

if the problem is solved, contact technical support. i think they have a fix for this.

ME TOO - COMPUTER FREEZES WHILE BURNING HELP HELP

I had MF2.12 first - upgraded when I learned it didnt' support AC 3 audio.

I've tried to burn a small video - successfully imported three separate MPEG and AC 3 audio files and joined them together. Some transition effects, no menus. Works fine in preview.

Tried 3 times - computer freezes at 50% complete. Used pretest also. Have Dell 8250, 512 KB memory, 10 GB available disk space.

HELP!!!

It worked

I don't know which of the following helped - but I successfully burned my video.

I uninstalled Disk Creator as suggested.
I updated DVM4 with the latest patch.
I made some more room on my hard drive.

It worked!

There have been a number of different posts lately from people who only have around 10GB free HD space. It appears that that is not sufficient to run MF.
If you encounter problems, first thing to try is to make more room and defrag the HD.
