Share Screen Small on monitor. X7

Post by alanball »

I have upgraded to VSx7 Ultimate but find when I use the Share Screen it only takes up a small area in the center of my monitor and so the label text is small and hard to read. I am running Win8.1, Capture and Edit Screens are fine.
Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Have you played around with Preferences > UI Layout? On my own Win 8.1 setup, the Share Screen occupies nearly half of the entire right hand side of my 24 inch monitor...

When you hover your mouse over your Share Screen, do you get any indication of movable borders?

Hi Ken, thanks for replying, I should have been more precise, the first share screen is full monitor, it's when I go to share an Mpeg file on DVD, and the next screen that appears for menu selection and input of the video files that the second share screen only fills part of the monitor screen. I will have a look at the UI layout again I may have missed something the last time I looked.
Thanks

Hi Ken, interesting, I have not noticed before, but the UI layout only gives me the option for default layout, as the other options are greyed out.

Hi Alan

Regarding the UI Interface ---The other options Custom 1,2 and 3 become available once you have saved a custom layout.

Return to the edit tab
Choose Settings – Layout Settings – “Save to” choose an option --- Custom 1

The current setting will be saved, you can now easily switch between views using the keyboard short cut keys. Ctrl+1 – Ctrl+2 --Ctrl+3

Share Create Disc….
The burner interface panel has always been smaller, floating over the main window.
Are you saying its smaller than usual?

Yes - until YOU set some alternative layouts there is nothing to select - that is why they are greyed out

move a few windows around and then save a custom layout and you will have one to select - there are no custom alternatives.

Thanks Lata and Brian, that has sorted the UI problem out. I have not been using VS for quite a while and yes Lata my Share menu is the same size as you have shown, so I guess I need to get new glasses!! As I said, not been using VS for quite a while and I would have sworn the Share menu was larger in X4!!

Thanks again guy's.
