Corel Photo Downloader replacement

Hello,

I still use the handy Corel Photo Downloader from X4. As it isn't part of PaintShop anymore, what do you use as replacement under Windows 7 or 8 ?

I use a card reader and Windows Explorer to copy from the card to the directory of choice. I've tried various HP and Corel downloaders or albums and never liked their limitations.

Same here. Card reader and open the window with the files to be copied, then open the new target folder and drag and drop copies the files over to the new folder.
That way I decide when I want to copy stuff across without starting up some other program. I removed or disabled Corel Photo Downloader from all my computers as it also became activated when inserting a USB stick if images were detected.

That's good news !
I will see if I can write a similar program but with options for every camera connected, plus optional automatic deconnection after copy or delete...

I like Corel Photo Downloader, but have gone to my camera specific software (Panasonic, Sony), as Corel was often missing downloading many files in the RAW format. OK for jpegs, just stumbles on RAW.
I do wish Corel would come out with a new version to include in PSP though.
