Hello, I have applied Fx Crop border to a picture and applied the following customised option:
First key frame height and width 0 , move the cross at the MAXIMUM up and right.
Last key frame height and width 100, cross in the middle. (Not important)
If you run VideoStudio it will stop.
I tried on VideoSudio X6 and X7 : same result.
I modified the cross position of the first key and move it not at the maximum upper and right position but almost upper and right and VideoStudio run perfectly.
Maybe that can interrest Corel.
Thanks
MR

Re: Cropping FX stop VideoStudio
Your confusing me - what do you mean by that at the first keyframe you move the cross at the maximum up to top and right - you seem to be saying your moving the cross off screen - is that correct.
In which case you will be asking VideoStudio to use co-ordinates that do not exist for the start and VideoStudio gives up because it doesn't know where to plot from - you must keep the centre of the cross onscreen

Re: Cropping FX stop VideoStudio
Hi Brian
That failed for me….
When customising the cropping tool, set the Width / Height from 50% to zero, then move the cross to top right, as far as you can, arguably it could be off screen, but I can see half of it???? Then we should not be able to set it wrong?
The last keyframe brings the video back to the middle and fills the screen.
Play that on the edit timeline and VS stops working immediately after play has finished.
Hmmm……….

Yes it fails for me if I push the centre of the cross off screen - doesn't even let me get back to the timeline - if the centre of the cross is off screen then as soon as I click OK I get the VideoStudio has stopped working error - but as long as I can see the centre dot of the cross every thing works pefectly

Re: Cropping FX stop VideoStudio
Hello,
One key frame shoud be : height and width 0 , the cross at the MAXIMUM up and right.
The other keys are not important.
The problem does not appen when the cross is in the corner left / up, or in the corner down / left , or in the corner down / right.
Only in the up / right corner.
Thanks

Re: Cropping FX stop VideoStudio
It's your constant use of the word Maximum which is confusing me - how is the cross at MAXIMUM ??
if you mean top right corner can you say so
if you mean top right corner can you say so
