Polygon adjustments not applied correctly

Post by ony »

Hello,

there is a possible bug in handling adjustments for polygon areas in AfterShot Pro (2.1.1.9). The inner area of a polygon (not the feather area) should apply 100 % of effects. See the documentation:
Regions have two areas: the main area and the feather area. The main area is the portion within the solid lines of a
region, and this is where the full effect of editing applies. Along the edge of the main area is the feather area. This is the
transition area where the selected area blends with the background — from 100% at the inside edge, to 0% at the outer
edge of the dashed line
But actually what AfterShot does is that for polygons, the main area (towards the border, but not yet the feather area) does not apply 100 % of the selected effect. See the red circle in the attached screenshots. Circle areas doesn't seem to have this problem.

Also for both circles and polygons, there is a problem that when overlapping another polygon, the outline is visible (see the blue lines).

Thanks,
Ondra

What happens when you reduce the feathering?
I have a similar issue with curve regions, especially very small ones and when I reduce the feathering to the minimum that problem vanishes (but of course it becomes unusable without feathering in many cases).

Yes, when you decrease feathering the problem goes away. But then it's not useful for many pictures, as you say.
