Corel not working anymore

grrrrr, working for hours on a movie and while rendering, it stops saying Corel not working anymore....... so frustating.
I believe its a problem known by Corel but i cant get it fixt....

Videostudio x2
.MOV and .WMV files plus JPEG Photo's (35min. total movie time)
windows 7 -I5

If I could just finish this movie, i will buy a newer version but for now..........

What exactly are you doing when you get the message

What exactly does the error message say.

Is the error repeatable - if you shut down VS and then try again do you get exactly the same error at the same point

Why do you think the problem is known by Corel - have you seen a report somewhere - where - what did it say

Can you also tell us what format video you are trying to produce.

Is either the .mov or .wmv video in your project high definition? MOV files do cause some people problems with Video Studio. What version of Quicktime do you have -- is it the version which came with X2? Can you please right click on one of the .mov files in the X2 timeline and copy ALL its Properties here....

the problem happens more often, sometimes when editing and everytime when rendering.
It happens never on the same moment. After the problem has shut down the program, i can start it again and open my saved file. Then choose create video file and then it starts to render.
One moment i can reach 26% the other attempt 5% and so on. Also with differend output formats.

Then the program stops and gives the following notification

Corel Videostudio is not working anymore
a sollusion is searched for

then after a few seconds

there has been a problem what makes the program not working well
the program will shut down and you receive notification when there is an solution

I´ve tryed to get the servicepack for X2 but i could not managed to register to Coral because they dont accept my serial number.
My software is offcourse legal. Maybe it´s just to old....

I´ve read around and find that a few persons find the same problem so thats why i think coral knows about it and i thought that there is an explanation maybe or i need the servicepack perhaps....

i hope this will help out, the .MOV files are from a photocamera who can make also videofilms. (normal digital camera)
The .WMV files are original MPEG4 files from a GoPro camera. I converted them with Windows Movie Maker to HD WMV files because X2 did not accept MPEG4 files.......

Ken asked what version of QuickTime you had installed.
We know from experience that earlier versions of Video Studio did have problems using newer versions of Quicktime.
Please try re-installing QuickTime using version 7.5.5.

if you use I-Tunes then this install may affect that?

Also you could try renaming the original Mov files to use the extension .MP4.- Sometimes that may work?

Your attached image, using Alt + PrtSc will copy the working window allowing you to attach only the properties window ?

What camera are you using? I have a canon 7D that records similar video files, but a long time since I ran Video Studio X2

Hi everybody!

Yesterday evening i read the reply's and directly i removed quicktime and installed the version you mentioned.
That was easy, so i went for a try and gues what..............

It rendered 100%, .WMV HD1080 ! Happy me!
35min. 8,7GB (aprox. 4,5 hrs rendering)

For me it's done now, I'm very happy with your help!
