Hi...
Im using DVD Workshop Express and what Im trying to do is edit DVDs that I record on my Panasonic set-top player.
The problem Im having is when I import the data from the DVD it splits the title into about 10 diffrent titles. Is there a way I can import the data into 1 single title or is there a way to merge the seperate titles into 1 single title??
Thanks,
Chris
Adding Titles Question
I have heard that most recorders will make a new VOB file every ~1 Gb because that is a limit of the DVD spec. It would seem unlikely that they make a new title (i.e., a new VIDEO_TS folder) for each VOB. If you take each VOB, converted into whatever, into WS2, then this will appear as a new title. If you stitch them together, then it will look at it as a single title.
So what you need is a way of stitching them together, before authoring. For this, you'll need an editor, such as VS9 or MSP7. However, there may a slight quality loss. Probably the best mitigation for this is to convert your VOBs to a low-loss format, such as DV Type 1 (you can find 0 or low-loss software for this on the Internet), do all your editing and make a new MPEG-2 file for authoring.

Yep, DVDWS does this even if there are no chapter marks on your DVD - that makes no difference at all.
What you need is a programme like DVD Decrypter (now defunct sadly) which will demux your audio and video streams from the DVD, and give you one M2V and one AC3 file for the whole title.
I'm sure there are other programmes you can use for straight demuxing but I don't know any off the top of my head.
