Post by Dravlje »

I have a video which is 2h long in MTS format (creating with Sony full HD digital camera). The rendering procedure to Bluray (PAL,Full HD,1920x1080) format and burning on Bluray DL disc is very long - more than 5 hour. Is it possible and how can I shortening rendering time.

Hi
welcome to the forums..
Can you give more information, what version of Video Studio are you using?

What are the properties of the video file?
Right click a clip and choose properties, what are they?

If your original properties are Bluray compliant then use those to render the video.
Rendering like for like should speed up render times.

I'm registered user of Corel Videostudio Pro X7, the format for rendering video file is MTS (1920x1080, 25fps, sound 256 kb/s, 2 channel stereo, 48khz). The size of file is 18,7 GB. I would like to render and burn to Bluray DL disc in the same format and in 5.1 DD sound format. A program is working on SSD hard disk of 500GB (Crucial CT512MX).

Hi

There are two processes going on here to burn a disc.

1 / Creating a Video File
2 / the remaining process Convert Menu --Multiplexing to complete the disc burn

1 / Creating / rendering the project to a compliant video file, from the burner module is the Convert Title process, saves the video as a temporary file.

But we can do that from the edit timeline from Share – Same as First Video File, Same as Project Properties, providing your project properties do match your original videos properties.
The resultant video file can be used to burn the disc.
Rendering the project using the original video files properties will/should improve render times and retain the original quality.

You may be best using your own Video Template………….

Your video file uses stereo sound, to convert to DD 5.1 you will be best to create your own template.
Using Tools – Movie Profile Manager- Format AVC/H.264 use the ADD option to create a template using your original video file.
Once created EDIT the template changing the audio option – compression tab.

The template will be available from Share – Avchd - profile list

2 / Convert Menu, using Text or Thumbnail menus will render faster than using Smart Scene, otherwise there is nothing to tweak to speed up the remaining process.

To burn the disc,, start a new project, Share – Disc, opens the burner module.

Add Media Add video file, choose the compliant file created above. When you press Burn the process will start with Convert Menu, there will be no Convert Title. You are using a compliant video file.
