Subtitle editor freezes my computer.

Post by huckrorick »

I have a Dell XPS 9530 computer with an Intel i7 2.2 Ghz, 64 bit processor, 16 GB RAM, Window 8.1, 512 GB Solid State drive, 1 TB external HD, NVidia GeForce GT 750M graphics card. I just purchased Corel VideoStudio X7 Ultimate.

I started VideoStudio. I loaded 2 clips 15 seconds and 60 seconds. Played them both back.
I then opened the subtitle editor on the first clip and played it back in the subtitle editor. I then scanned and automatically created subtitles. I saved these to an SRT file. The closed the subtitle editor and clicked on the second clip. I opened subtitle editor. I clicked play to play the clip in the subtitle editor. VideoStudio stopped responding. I waited 20 minutes with the whirling wait symbol still going. I clicked cancel in subtitle editor. No response. Clicked the X. No response. Nothing is VideoStudio would respond. The only way I could stop the program was with Task Manager, which showed said “Not Responding” and showed VideoStudio using 18% of the CPU.

What can I do about this?
