Rendering will not complete - stuck at 99%

Using x7, I have been trying to burn a project to DVD. 53 min, 2.4GB. I am using my VSP file, clicking "Burn". It runs about 20-25 minutes, until detailed progress bar gets to 99%, then it stops. I am watching Task manager and the CPU still pegs about 50% (nothing else running) for about 15-20 minutes, then the z7 app itself goes into "not responding" mode.

What am I doing wrong? This is frustrating.

I read the forum and have tried to save to MPEG-2 first, as was recommended, but still results in the same problem when the rendering process is started (from the MPEG-2 file, not the VSP)

Welcome to the forums -- though I'm sorry you are having this trouble.

First off, can you tell us the format of the video in your project and where it came from? Please right click on one of the clips in the timeline and copy ALL its Properties here, and do the same with others if there are more than one type involved.

I've been having a similar problem, whether trying to create an MP4 or WMV, VS stops at various percentages. Haven't tried to burn a DVD, just trying to save to computer. Here is the info from one of the videos.

Sorry -- creating from .mp4 and .jpg files. Have also tried to combine mp4, jpg and mpg with same results.

I'm suddenly having this same problem. Converting some .mov files to mpeg4 with some minor editing. The first few files went fine, then all of a sudden I started getting this stuck at 99% problem. Has anybody figured this out yet?
