How to apply particular attributes to several titles

Post by huckrorick »

How to apply particular attributes to several titles. If I have a Title in My Favorites, can I easily apply it to an existing title without changing the existing text? For example: I have a favorite with a particular pop up animation, duration and pause duration. I would like to apply those same attributes to a number of existing titles without changing their text. I could double click each title and edit to add those attributes but that takes a long time. Is there any way to quickly add the group of attributes? Is there a way to select multiple titles and edit attributes of all of them at the same time?

Hi

There is an option to Copy and Paste attributes from one title to other titles. This should copy the animations. Works from the timeline.
Right click the first text box, Copy attributes, Shift + click other text boxes to select, right click for Paste Attributes.

But there are problems that the text will be positioned from the left indent of the original text box.
Effectively moving the text left, so you may have to reset the Alignment options.

If the text / title has used Multiple titles then that also causes issues, only pastes to one box.

The duration of the text box will also cause some issues as that remains the same resulting in different animation speeds.

The Copy and Paste options are worth trying, depending on the animations applied may work, I say may work.

Thanks. I will give it a try.
It raises another question. I don't know if you have an answer.
I have found that I can select multiple tiles holding shift, but it selects all the contiguous titles. Some programs (e.g. Windows Explorer) allow you to select non-contiguous items by holding control. That doesn't work in VideoStudio. Is there a way to select non-contiguous items?

Hi
Non-Contiguous selection…..

Sorry no I do not know how to do that.
It would certainly help sometimes if we could select several clips that were not adjacent, unfortunately they have to be contiguous.
