How to Fill screen with background image

Post by dhpriest »

I was wondering if there is a way under the menu editing part of disc creation if there is a way to make the background image a 16:9 format. I am selecting a background image (.jpg) file, and the image looks like a 4:3 aspect. I want it to at least stretch or fill the yellow line box. Other programs like PowerDirector allow the user to stretch the image to fill the entire menu background or crop the image to fill a user specified area. I notice I cannot do this in VS X6 or X7.

It does stretch it. I guess I missed that, but unfortunately it distorts any people that may be in the image. I would like to be able to maintain the image's aspect ratio and crop it to fit the menu background.

Well yes of course if you stretch a 4:3 image to 16:9 it has to distort it but if that does not work for you then resize the image and crop to 16:9 in PhotoShop or PaintShop or whatever photo manipulation programme you have before putting it in your menu.
