ASP 2.1.1.9 Quality improvement
I installed the new version and when I opened ASP it started - obviously - the last image worked on. This was a badly exposed concert shot - from a Canon 5D3 at high ISO - that had had a +2 exposure applied and then a selective layer with a +1 exposure and a +2 fill applied. So never going to be useable. But the new version looked much better - the noise was still there but had gone from extreme to just really bad. Then I exported an image that was ok and did a compare and I think that there is a real improvement. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm not on windows but linux and have notice an improvement in the HDR. I just hope that Corel keeps moving forward.
Thanks.

I'm on Mac and yes the ASP v2.1.19 is a huge improvement especially for my Fuji X -Trans files.
However the Chromatic Aberration still needs some work for the Fuji images.

Still learning after all these years!

Re: ASP 2.1.1.9 Quality improvement
On a positive note, 2.2.1.9 single image HDR does seem to work to recover highlight detail.
Provided I turn off all the dramatic presets (ugh) to get a natural look it can provide detail in cloudy skies - one of my main gripes on highlight recovery for a long time now.
I set the HDR to be a 1.3 stop split.
The highlight detail frame of the three is finding detail that an exposure reduction of 1.3 does not find ( which will also affect Grad ) .
Even worse is the highlight recovery slider which just adds a grey mush.
Now if Corel could get the highlight slider to reduce the top 20% or so ( why did the highlight range slider go? ) but keep all the detail from the Raw in the same way as the HDR low exposure, I could process landscapes happily with all the information in the sidecar and no messing about with TIFs.
And when one has a large number of landscapes, the time saving would be considerable.
For now I am staying with capture1 for these images but it is getting closer to a return to ASP as I like working with sidecars and do not like catalogues.
Edit: Also the HDR image shown on the screen before splitting is a better image ... I suspect it is pulling in more information than the early stages of the normal ASP process -- Corel - please try to get the basic process better?
