Sony RX100M3 profile in AfterShotPro2?

Post by Lupin »

The latest list (just a couple of days ago) of supported cameras for "AfterShot Pro2" now includes the Sony RX100 III (also known as RX100M3), so I took advantage of Corel's Black Friday reductions to upgrade my old "AftershotPro" to the new version incuding the recent update - "2.1.1.9" x64 bit. It seemed that Raw files from my new Sony RX100III would now be catered for at last!
There are a couple of discrepancies however about my new installation of "AfterShotPro2", which I am anxious to clear up, and for which I haven't received any reply from Corel's support team:

1) Although this download is supposed to be "AfterShotPro2", apart from the initial splash-screen which appears just before the program starts, the working interface is headed only as "AfterShot2" (rather than "AfterShotPro2) - which I find a little strange given that "AfterShot2" is a cheaper program with more restricted capabilities and sold at a lower price, and
2) Although the new version will now at least open SonyRX100III RAW files, this camera is not listed among the automatic lens correction profiles offered within the program (only the RX100 and RX100II which have a different lens design from the RX100III) - although Corel's website implies that the RX100III is now "supported".

Can any other users enlighten me of what's going on here? Suggestions welcome!
