establishing default open locations
I have PSP X7 and would like to establish a default folder open location. That is, I do not want PSP to return to my last open folder every time I start up the application. I want to set a default location that will automatically be chosen when I click on the open file link. Is there anyway to do this? A collateral issue is retention of the recent file list. I know that it can be reduced to only 1 file retained, but is there any way to change the registry so that by default, no file is retained in the recent file list? The computer I use for editing is also used by others and I do not wish my own work to be so easily available to someone else's eyes by being able to see what folder and files I was working on.

Re: establishing default open locations
You can actually edit the UI to remove the recent files list altogether. I don't know about registry settings. If you do this, however, you can't get it back unless you do a full workspace reset. If you intend it to be permanent then we're good.
1) View -> Customize
2) Once the "Customize" dialog pops up return to the File menu. This is a bit odd but you can customize the menus while that dialog box is open. So click on "File" on the menu bar and it'll open up the normal File menu.
3) Right-click on 'Recent Files'
4) Select "Delete"
---------
As for a default image location....I don't know. I can figure out a way to do it using a simple script but I don't know if that's necessary or not.

Re: establishing default open locations
Thanks for the tip. I may also just write the script, too, to set the default file location. It's somewhat strange to me that this is not an option in the preferences; so many different applications do allow this (my MS applications all are set to a default file open location, for example).
