Just bought X7 yesterday. Been a long time Photoshop user but not happy about the Creative Cloud deal at all... Now, getting into PSP is probably gonna take some time in order for me to have an effective workflow as I did in PS but I'm determined to make it work. I'm an illustrator by trade btw.
Now, to my first question; can I hide the walking ants/selection while working with one? And is there no way of hiding the icon that is attached to your brush when drawing, like the airbrush for example? Tried searching in the forum but don't seem to either hit the correct keywords or simply finding a related thread...

Try the precise cursor in Preferences to hide the tools etc.

And Selection/Hide Marquee for the ants. I add a button for that one to the toolbar since I use it so much.
